These are too cute not to share... fabulous printable images (click on the link below) for some great d-i-y artwork. I absolutely love this for a back entryway, children's rooms & baths.

I am so inspired by this beautiful take on a platform bed. It is the perfect parts effortless chic, casual beauty and d-i-y imagination. I am loving the gorgeously distressed wood, chipping white paint, the sprinkles of yellow and pink florals & how clean white sheeting and wall color balances the space in a refreshingly simple fashion.
Platform Bed= salvaged/reused/upcylced doors (platform) + salvaged/reused/upcycled mantel (headboard)
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

I've always been drawn to cool, grey color palettes. I think there is something incredibly calming about them. They are more modern than beige and the perfect neutral to layer together. I love them with metallics and leather with bits of velvet and arctic (faux) fur or as the perfect backdrop for weathered woods, white-washed woods and subtle pops of sparkling color. It's a wonderfully beautiful greige world. Simple & fabulous.

I am loving this dining room. It's a sweet space filled with interesting patterns, punches of yummy color and that great mix of found objects and new furniture designs (loving the fabulous Appalachian Chairs from Rich, Brilliant, Willing!) that I fell in love with during my years with Anthropologie. I love how the details feel charming and relaxed & are still very beautiful but in that country house, it's okay to kick off your shoes and tuck your feet up kind of way. I love how the white walls keep the space light and the natural textures of wood and metals give it a soul. It's just the perfect dining space to savour the bounty of summer. Have a wonderful week all!

I am loving these chevron lined bookcases! In fact, I have been hanging onto these images, just waiting for the exact, perfect moment to utilize this inspiration. To do it right, the space has to be subtle enough for the pattern not to compete yet strong enough for the pattern not to overwhelm. The showcases have to be tidy and currated with percission and the pops of color must be just so. But when done well, I think the effect is fabulous (and terribly unexpected which we love of course)! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

There is nothing I love more than an amazingly, saturated color palette. So bold in its confidence, vibrant & amazing, often supple, daring and rich... I love how these saturations of color can embody and space, a location and transform it with pure, breathtaking beauty. Intensely magnificent.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

I love this room!!! I love the retro vibe it exudes with olives and oranges, browns and that easy-as-sunday-mornings, mid century sofa. I love the artwork, finds you could pick up at your local Goodwill or off of your own Grandmother's walls. I love it's collective feel and most of all, I love the punchy pops of turquoise that bring this room into 2012. So fabulously fun, don't ya think?!

I have been renovating a half bath in my house for what seems like far too long. The funny thing about being a stylist is I always seem to be styling & designing other people's spaces rather than finishing my own. So I committed to completing the bathroom this summer. My idea for a fresh wall treatment was to paint, add a high gloss chair rail and stencil the wall in a fabulous pattern. But after much consideration I realized I did not have the time to stencil an entire bathroom, no matter how small. Second idea, wallpaper... I love a great paper, love the texture and dimension it brings into a space, but then I came across Byrdie Graphics who produces these incredibly stylish wall decals & I knew I had found my solution. I will still be painting and adding a chair rail (new faucets & fixtures, etc., etc.) but with the walls I am going for fabulous with ease! Have a fantastic week everyone!
