I love a deep saturation of color right now. It feels strong, sexy...current. And for me nothing is better than a room filled with the deliciously gorgeous, inky blue. Even in small touches it makes an incredible impact, beautifully mysterious, highly dramatic. It's a bit of midnight, a touch of purple and a dash of black. So fabulous. So bold. It's just perfect.

I have to admit, I am a girl who likes to do things by hand. I like the integrity in refinishing, the refinement of a sketch, the appeal of moving pieces around until they are instinctively in the perfect place. Recently I found a really pretty idea utilizing grass cloth and painted frames to create a point of interest or focal wall within a room. I love this idea. For one, I absolutely love grass cloth, it has fabulous texture and organic appeal and is subtle enough to not be overpowering. And two, when mounted in large panels it creates a wonderful canvas to showcase a collection. And of course I am loving it mounted in the white frames...so pretty! Have a wonderful week everyone!

I am loving these images. They feel inspired by the same thought, a rich, Kelly green balanced by white and wood. And although they have no obvious connection just look a bit closer...the dining room shade becomes the billowing feather skirt, the draperies become the crisp white shirt all graced by an arc of gorgeous green. That is the beauty of inspiration, it is simply everywhere. It's also the amazing push pull in each image, the balance of delicate and strong, the classic masculine to feminine symbolism. A beautiful, large scale wallpaper with organic wishbone chairs, so pretty and yet so commanding. It resonates throughout each image creating the juxtaposition that makes everything distinct and wonderfully, interesting. Inspiration, it's simply everywhere.
Happy weekend everyone!

I have a tiny house and am always looking for fabulous ideas to save space and still have good aesthetics. Recently I was browsing pinterest and came across these gems. Loving the laundry idea for those of us without an actual laundry room and I think the bookcase desk would be ideal as the boys get a bit older. Loving the under the stairs bathroom too... how perfect, wouldn't you say?

What I am loving right now are brightly colored houses. Houses that stand out and have something to say. Houses that put a smile on your face as you walk by. Houses that speckle the sky like a rainbow. Houses that dare to be bold and do it so brazenly that they are, quite simply, fabulous. And although I am not brave enough to tackle a house mural or even a striped confection, I have to say that I am completely head over heels in love with the houses in Greenland. I can't decide which I love more. The Kelly green, maybe the purple? Ah, they are all perfection. Have a wonderful week everyone!

I am loving dramatic lighting... unexpected fixtures that set the tone in a room... fixtures that bring an element of something special into a space... fixtures that are quietly neutral but amazingly full of impact... fixtures that glimmer, gleam and sparkle like the north star in a deep, dark, navy sky.

Loving this amazing New York loft. It's times like these that I can hear the city streets again. White walls, floors, a fabulous blue chandelier and sky scraping ceilings... Parsons table, lucite desk, Eames Eiffel chair, trolley table, contemporary sofa, resin deer heads, the classic Graham & Green wallpaper map and a few Anthro pillows. These are a few of my favorite things... I just can't get enough! (And dare I mention those 3 rabbits all in a row?!) Have a wonderful week everyone.

Sing me a happy song! The weather is warm and the sun is shining, spring is in the air. I can't think of a better way to celebrate than to dance in the gloriously cheerful yellow? Love, love, love! xo

There are so many things I find fabulous about this room. I love the rich mix of styles, fabrics and colors. I love the bold, tomato red with the traditional, blue and white, french-country toile. I love the classic Mid-Century Modern Saarinen table and Bertoia chairs (some of my favorite pieces ever), 70's metal and laminate side table and the 21st century classics; the leather poof and chevron rug. Just AMAZING. It is eclectic, interesting and distinctly feminine for a modern day, design loving girl.

Ah... I am loving these brightly, candy-colored kitchens! They make me so amazingly happy that I am once again back to lusting after a new kitchen. So if anyone needs a bit of cheerful inspiration, just take your pick. Pink, Turquoise, Red, Celadon Green. And although the turquoise is absolutely amazing I can't get over the honeysuckle pink and dripping chandelier... to die! Happy weekend all!
